Cars in Forza Horizon 3 can be purchased from the Autoshow or Auction House. They are also rewarded to players from Horizon Wheelspins, discovering Barn Finds and winning Forzathon events. Players may also increase their vehicle roster with downloadable content. Each car is categorised within a division that puts it against similar cars. The Performance Index determines the performance capabilities of a car, with D featuring the slowest and S2 the fastest cars. A car's type and performance index can apply certain event restrictions.
