The Edifice was a star cruiser operated by the people of the Kurgon system. Its pilot was an android named Azimendah. The Edifice brought delegates of the Galactic Wonders Commission to the Kurgon Wonder in the hopes that they would name it one of the Wonders of the Universe. During this flight, the Sixth Doctor found himself on board after the TARDIS collided with a temporal anomaly. Shortly afterwards, the Edifice flew too close to the Kurgon Wonder and became enveloped in a time distortion, causing it and everything inside to rapidly age except for the Doctor, the pilot and waitress Ellie.
