The Melek'aan-class was a type of frigate fielded by the Romulan Star Empire during the 24th century. It was one of the most successful designs in the history of the Romulan Star Navy. (Ship Recognition Manual, Volume 5: Starships of the Romulan Star Empire) It was specifically designed for system defence and planetary invasion and could carry up to 180 troops.
