Roibert "Dragoon" Bruce was a former Armiger of the Griffon Alliance and commandant within their Spaceborne Assault Trooper Armee. He was also a tenacious ship captain, and perfected the tactic of using small, fast brigand-style starships, known as lighters, to assault larger ships by forcibly docking with them. The crew of the lighter would then disembark and wreak havoc upon the targeted ship. These crews and troopers would come to be known as dragoons, in his honor.
