Michael Daren, commonly known as Peg-Leg Mike thanks to his peg leg, was ostensibly a member of Yousei Kaizoku's pirate crew during the Great War although he was actually a double agent who plotted to murder him with help from Aden and Decanus Tafford. However, his plan was never put into action because the Cataclysm struck soon after, and by that time Kaizoku's actions had already impressed him enough to stop the vendetta. Mike left Kaizoku on relatively good terms and joined the Blue Dragon pirates in hopes of using his expertise in the war to aid the pirates against the Western Horde. He has a pet parrot named Joe.
