Glanbrook Township was located southeast of the city of Hamilton. It was formed as part of the 1973 restructuring of Wentworth County, amalgamating the Townships of Binbrook and Glanford. The Glanbrook Township FD was a merger of the original township fire departments, namely the Binbrook Township Fire Department in Binbrook and the Glanford Township Fire Department in Mount Hope. In 2001, Glanbrook was merged with Hamilton and other regional municipalities to create an expanded City of Hamilton. The fire department became part of the Hamilton Fire Department.
