The Race maintained an air force base near Monterrey. Rance Auerbach and Penny Summers were arrested in 1963 for selling ginger to a Lizard named Kahanass at the base. The two humans were held at Monterrey for a time, before making an agreement with a Lizard police officer named Hesskett to help capture a ginger-dealer in German-occupied France. They were then flown to Mexico City.
