Benjamin Palmer is Prince John's physician but "neither his supporter nor his apologist". In 'Do you Love Me?', Benjamin decides to help Robin Hood and betray Prince John, but was gaoled by John. Early on when the prince was coming to Nottingham he took his place as an imposter, and succeeded.
