Hawk was a young and enigmatic member of the Powell Syndicate during the Galactic War. Very few members of the criminal organization other than its leader, Thomas Powell, knew anything of his origin and it was hypothesized by the mercenary David Kahn that Hawk himself suffered from amnesia. Despite his lack of a background, Hawk was incredibly lethal in almost any combat situation, leading some to believe that he was a former SPARTAN-III or Myrmidon. Although he was often tasked with a variety of assignments, his principle task was to operate as a bodyguard for Thomas Powell's daughter, Helen Powell.
