In the comic Asterix and Cleopatra, the spy is an egyptian, who can find out the secret because he looks like one of the builders. He is also shown in the comic Olympics in Lutetia as a member of the spy team lead by Tullius Detritus. In this comic he looks like in the movie, but his cloak is only coloured green instead of changing the colour.
