The operation would begin if the words "Sonic has finally won it all!" were ever uttered, which would automatically cause every SWATbot to begin destroying everything in sight, friend or foe. When Robotnik was believed to have been killed by his rogue creation E.V.E., Snively said the words, unaware of Operation: Wasteland. Robotnik returned before Snively's death, and deactivated all the SWATbots on Mobius, much to his regret. However, this also saved Sonic the Hedgehog and the Knothole Freedom Fighters, which Robotnik used as a propaganda victory against his enemies. (StH: #22)
