The Doctor treated Sarah Platt went she went into labour five weeks early and was rushed in Weatherfield General. For Sarah, this was a repeat of events back in May 2004 when her and Todd Grimshaw's son Billy had also been born prematurely and when the doctor told Sarah that, as on that occasion, she needed a caesarean section. This was due to the both her and the baby getting distressed but Sarah was adamant. Her brother David suggested going ahead anyway but the doctor refused to without the patient's consent.
