Leonard Snart is a hero of Central City under the alias Citizen Cold, but his heroics is mainly motivated by wealth and fanfare. He interferes Mr. Freeze, who was attacking Central City's S.T.A.R. Labs searching for a cure for his lover Nora Fries. During the battle Cold freezes Mr. Freeze's body, causing Freeze to reject his head from his frozen body and attempts to escape. Cold, after saving reporter Iris West and cameraman Wally West in the process, catches Mr. Freeze and reveals to him that he orchestrated the battle between him and Freeze meaning there was no cure for Nora and is already dead before heartlessly killing him. Despite what Citizen Cold had done and by extent of his brutal treatments, the public still adore him as their savior.
