Wurtz was a male officer who held the rank of Admiral in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, a galaxy-wide civil war between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. During the war, Jedi Master Mace Windu attempted to contact Wurtz from the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant in order to request the use of three of the cruisers the Admiral commanded.
