The 39th (Personnel Support) Battalion is an administrative unit in the Australian Army, being the new name for the former Deployed Forces Support Unit, based in Sydney, Australia. It was formally renamed at a special ceremony on 8 August 2006 at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. The unit perpetuates the name of the famous 39th Battalion, an infantry battalion during World War II, and is currently part of the 17th Combat Service Support Brigade.
