Gravitas presented Optimus Prime with the Golden Disk shortly after he became Prime. Prime, rather than immediately loading the information, held onto the disk. After Iacon's destruction, Prime mounted the Promonotory in its suburbs, then threw the disk into orbit (or possibly out into space), reasoning that it was better to stumble and find his own way than to perpetuate the legacy that brought them to this point.
