Dendritic crystal armor is heavy armor made from dendritic seed crystals grown deep underground. It is not forged in fire and must be tailored specifically to each wearer, leaving almost no gaps, but is heavier and more cumbersome than plate mail. The armor will grow back to its original shape if damaged, provided there is at least 5 lb (2.5 kg) remaining, in a maximum of eight hours. It cannot be removed except by breaking one's way out.
