Galen Tyrol was a Cylon from the planet Earth, who travelled to the Colonies in an attempt to stop Colonials from making the same mistake they did in creating artificial lifeforms. Before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Tyrol was the Deck Officer aboard the Battlestar Galactica.
