The 1,950,000 Atlantic hurricane season has no official bounds; it ran year-round in the year 1,950,000, but most tropical cyclones tend to form in the Atlantic between June and November. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin. It was the most active Atlantic hurricane season in history, containing 150 named storms, almost all of which became hurricanes and also featuring extremely strong hypercanes.
