Djehuty met with Marian Alston twice. At the first meeting, she demanded that Mek-andrus be surrendered to her; Djehuty refused. After the Brigade of Seth lost the battle against the Nantucket forces and Djehuty was wounded, Alston sat by his hospital bed and explained that he would be released when the war was over and how the Republic of Nantucket functioned under a constitution.
