The Temple to Mikoto was a single-story pagoda supported by wooden pillars, devoted to Mikoto, the Fortune of Ronin. Isamu, leader of the otokodate known as the Guards' Wrath, ordered its construction within their permanent camp. The first monks who arrived to tend the temple called the settlement Porisuko, in honor of the original founder of the Guards.
