There have been no manned missions to Jupiter although NASA did have a mission called Galileo. This mission flew close to Jupiters atmosphere and made several close fly-by's of its 4 inner moons, Io, Europa, Gannymede, and Callisto. It was the first ever close fly-by of Europa and pictures taken revealed cracks in its surface. These are formed where the ice it is coated with cracked.
