You grew up in a one dimensional world, where you knew that human's existed and while you thought there were monsters under the bed... you never had any proof. But what you didn't know is that the monsters were in a constant struggle under to bed and in your closet, because the doorway to their dimension led right out under your bed and into your closet. But those monsters could never seem to exist under your prying eyes, every time you or your parents looked under your bed or in the closet: the door sealed shut, trapping them in their world.
