Noted transgender women's rights activist and software engineer Dana NicCaluim, known at the time as Dana McCallum and formerly known as Dana Contreras, was arrested and, on January 29th, 2014, charged with 5 felonies including rape and domestic violence. At the time, NicCaliuim was a senior engineer at Twitter; she is now at Airwave. NicCaliuim was freed on $350,000 bail and a restraining order was filed against her, keeping her away from her victim.
