David Abraham Bueno de Mesquita (Amsterdam, 23 March 1889 – Florence, 12 december 1962) was a Dutch artist. He drew in water colours, lithographs, etched, painted, drew and illustrated many books and especially children's books, for which he also acted as painters . Bueno de Mesquita was pupil of the National teacher training school in Amsterdam. In the period from 1909 to 1913 he studied at the rijksacademie in Amsterdam. D.A. Bueno de Mesquita lived and worked in Amsterdam, Rome and Madrid. In 1922, he returned in Amsterdam. In 1929, he moved permanently to Florence, Italy.
