Daidoji Takahiro was a bushi of the Crane Clan from Kosaten Shiro. His family was poor but proud, but after his father perished in madness during the Rain of Blood, heaping shame upon an already destitute name. Takahiro sought marriage to change his status, and he thought to do it through his skill with the blade. He wished to win a duel so that he might impress a dainty young flower of the court.
