The Legend of the Gargoyle was a mission that Dante Vale received from Guggenheim. Sophie Casterwill convinced him to turn it into a team effort so that she and Lok Lambert could accompany him for Foundation training. The team's mission was to unveil the myth of the Cavern of the Gargoyle located on the Seine River in Rouen, France. They then needed to obtain the Titan Gar-Ghoul. The mission was ultimately unsuccessful, with DeFoe coming into possession of Gar-Ghoul; however, the Huntik team did find a map to the Paris Catacombs leading to the Ring of Arc.
