The Detroit Fighting Irish are a USA Hockey-sanctioned ice hockey team from Brownstown Township, Michigan based out of the Ice Box. The team was founded in 2012 as the Tennyson Chevrolet. The team was renamed the Detroit Fighting Irish in 2013. The team joined the United States Premier Hockey League along with the rest of the Midwest Junior Hockey League membership for the 2015-16 season.
