Java(JV) was a wild group of five meerkats, three females and two males, that appeared on September 19, 2007. They were first seen South of Big Dune bordering Commandos and Hoax. Java's habituation was suspended in order to focus on habituation resources on larger wild group or groups containing habituated animals like the Hoax or Nutters. Habituation of the group was supposed to be resumed if the group could be tracked at a later time, but as too much time had passed, the Java was lost the year it had been found. Bruce might have come from this group.
