Modern independence movements have started across the world after the dissolvement of Canada and the United States and a formation of a political union to bind them yet allow more home rule. Most new independence movements have came around the meso-american and European areas. Movements which promoted new states, separating from already existing states, for political, social, cultural or financial reasons where either already begun or excited by the events from 2005-2007 in the New American Revolution. So far there have been two successful movements since the revolution in 2007 (which marks a new era for these movements).
