Hoppip met Kandalee after it helped to free her from the Queen of Pokélantis' ghost. Thanks to her help, Hoppip decided to join Kandalee's team, she caused Kandalee to trip, and dropped one of her Friend Balls, Hoppip floated over to Friend Ball, and tapped the button, capturing herself.
