Arale first uses this technique in the Dr. Slump chapter "Monsters' Night" while she was sleeping. She later uses it in "The Biggest Bye'cha of All", to destroy the invaders' flying camera. Obotchaman is also able to use the technique. He uses it to defeat Dr. Mashirito in the final round of the "Who's the Strongest in the World?" tournament. He also uses it to defeat Caramel Man 009.
