Kanae von Rosewald (カナエ＝フォン・ロゼヴァルト, Kanae fon Rozevaruto, sometimes also 叶, Kanae) was a Ghoul and the last survivor of the Rosewald family. After Matsuri Washuu led an extermination operation to destroy the Rosewalds, Kanae was taken in as an employee of the Tsukiyama family. Kanae was born as Karren von Rosewald (カレン＝フォン・ロゼヴァルト, Karen fon Rozevaruto), the youngest child and sole daughter of the head of the Rosewald family. After evidence reveals Kanae as a surviving member of the Rosewalds, Kanae is dubbed Rose (ロゼ, Roze) and becomes the target of a major Investigation.
