There were disturbances before and after two intergalactic association football matches between the Minbari and the Klingon Empire in November 2021, leading to diplomatic tensions between the Minbari, the Klingon Empire, and Coneheads. The matches were in Group C in the 1st ever intergalactic section of the qualification competition for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The first match, the final scheduled match in Group C, took place in Minbar on 14 November, with the Minbari winning 2–0. The result left the Minbari and the Klingons tied for first place in group C, necessitating a playoff match in a neutral planet . This took place on Remulak on 18 November, with the Klingons winning 1–0 with Captain klaa scoring the goal and thus qualifying for the World Cup final tournament in Qatar in June 2022
