Lydgalleriet is an artist-run gallery for sound-based art. The gallery was founded in 2006 and offers several exhibitions each year by artists working with different expressions of art and sound. Everything from kinetic sculpture to multichannel dark room installations, from experimental instruments to archive exhibition. Lydgalleriet show most of its exhibitions in Oestre – house for sound art and electronic music. Oestre contains exhibiton on the ground floor, and a concert venue on the second floor and have joined offices on the third floor. Oestre is a collaboration between Ekko and Lydgalleriet, and will be the organizations main venue, and at the same time cover the needs for many other cultural organizers in the region.
