The Battle of the Midwood Marshes was a battle between the Hive Militia and the Great Glade Militia. It was fought out on the Midwood Marshes, next to the Midwood Decks. The attack was launched as an attempt to gain control of the Midwood Decks by Hive, rescuing the economy and power of the Clan Chief, Kulltuft Warhammer. Following an embargo of Phraxcrystals by the Great Glade Council, the factories and Phraxship production in Hive were unable to operate because of the seizure of remaining Phraxcrystals to arm weapons for the Hive Militia. The attack that was intended to capture the Midwood Decks was presumably a long term contingency plan, but was debated in the Clan Hall of Hive. Only by murdering one of the clan chiefs was Kulltuft Warhammer able to launch the assault.
