Prince Oberyn Martell is a recurring character in the fourth season. He is portrayed by Pedro Pascal and first appears in "Two Swords". Known as the Red Viper of Dorne, Oberyn was a member of House Martell, the ruling family of Dorne, and the younger brother of Doran Martell and the late Elia Martell, and the father of eight bastard girls known as the Sand Snakes. He is well known for his fighting skills, passionate temper, and sexual appetites.
