The Gen-Factor is a radioactive chemical that mutates human beings. It is lethal to most human beings, but has turned others into super-humans known as Gen-Actives. The agents in Team 7 were exposed to the radiation, killing some of them and giving the rest psychic powers. These powers would extend to their future offspring, creating several generations of Gen-Actives.
