The Marian Anthems are sung primarily by Roman Catholics particularly in religious communities after Compline. Traditionally, they were also said after Lauds, and after each Hour when sung in choir, if the choir was then to disperse. Here they are in the original Latin as sung in Roman Catholic religious houses around the world: (Advent through February 2) V. Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariae. R. Et concepit de Spiritu Sancto. (Christmas through Candlemas) V. Post partum, Virgo, inviolata permansisti. R. Dei Genitrix, intercede pro nobis. (Presentation of the Lord through Good Friday) (Easter season)
