Jan van Eyck (1395–1441) was a Flemish painter and considered one of the best Northern European painters of the 15th century. Kermit and Miss Piggy appeared in Miss Piggy's Art Masterpiece Calendar as The Marriage of Froggo Amphibini and Giopiggi Porculini, a spoof of van Eyck's"The Arnolfini Portrait."
