The Dune Sea War was an armed conflict fought in the Dune Sea on Tatooine between the sand people and the military forces of the Hutt Cartel. The war was the result of several sand people raids against the planet’s settlements, prompting the Hutt military to fight back. The war ended with the slaughtering of thousands of sand people by the military. Over a century later, remains of the war’s battlefields could still be found on Tatooine.
