Note: Flotsam & Jetsam is not the official DC name for this character (assume singular, for convenience). It was an unnamed Legion applicant, who much later appeared in Legion Academy as a student, still unnamed. The name 'Flotsam & Jetsam' was given to it by Legion fan Rob Rundle who made the first micro of it (much improved by Ratonpier into the version on this page), but when Ratonpier put the micro on his website, this name got transferred along with the micro. The same occurred in a few other cases: Balm; Scarlet Fever; Rain Girl; Tank.
