John Wilfred Barter (6 October 1917 – 17 December 1983) was a British Conservative Party politician. He was Member of Parliament for Ealing North from 1955 until he retired from the House of Commons at the 1964 general election. He was the last chairman of Middlesex County Council in 1964-65, prior to its replacement by the Greater London Council.
