The Clawcraft Interceptor was designed as a lighter version of the Nssis-class Clawcraft for use as a scoutcraft and air superiority fighter for the CEDF in 17 ABY. The ship, unlike other Chiss fighter models, had its own hyperdrive. These vessels were often employed as scouts jumping into a system before their assigned taskforce and identifying any possible dangers to the fleet. Although lightly shielded the Interceptor had peerless agility for a Chiss fighter and an impressive top speed. All around this nimble fighter was a welcomed addition to the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet.
