Richard Reeves "Quiet Lion" Brodie (born November 10, 1959) is an American computer programmer, motivational speaker, writer, and professional poker player. He is the original author of Microsoft Word and was employee number 77 at Microsoft. He is the author of two books: Virus of the Mind: The New Science of the Meme, and Getting Past OK: A Straightforward Guide To Having a Fantastic Life! At the 2009 World Series of Poker, he placed 10th in one of the preliminary events, but did not make the cut for the main event. He then hit a $37,000 jackpot on a penny slot machine.
