On the tours of Hotel Hightower presented by the New York Preservation Society, archival recordings of a press conference about his Shiriki Utundu find tell of how he disbelieved in the power of the idol. Lightning strikes and the ghostly sound of his voice tells the rest of the story of how his angering of the idol lead to his disappearance in the elevator shaft, which leads to the closure of the Hotel. When Shiriki Utundu turns his attention towards the guest, Hightower's ghost is tormented during the whole mess as well.
