The Phoenix Roadrunners were a minor pro team in Phoenix, Arizona. They played in the Central Hockey League in the 1977-78 season. They followed the year after the Phoenix Roadrunners (WHA) team in the World Hockey Association folded. They only played 27 games, winning only 4 and tying 3. After two months the team folded on December 12, 1977. They complained that the league was not helping them get players. They then moved over to the Pacific Hockey League which started its season in late December. They played in the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
