Originally, Norgantur was established as a mining colony. Over the centuries, its mineral resources were completely depleted, and the mining complexes abandoned. After the fall of the Kartanin Empire, the following decline and finally the rise of the Kartanin Dominion, the old facilities were evaluated for a new purpose. In the hundred years since, the moon was turned into a massive industrial complex. Large parts of it were excavated and turned into gargantuan assembly halls for starships up to capital-ship size. The moon is populated mostly by Kartanin, as well as some Decuri and human engineers from the Black Star Confederacy.
