The Balyanna Faction, commonly referred to as Hunak's Faction, is one of the oldest and most influential of the Ashellian factions, rivaling the ruling Imperial Faction in power and influence. It's members were counted amongst the Emperor's most trusted advisors until the assassination of Emperor Karsak by the leader of the clan; Lord Hunak, during the Raid on the Shipyards which sparked the tensions between the various factions and marked the beginning of the devastating Ashellian Civil War.
