On 10 November 2007, Rovers played fellow League One side Leyton Orient in an FA Cup first round match. Rovers had a decent cup run the previous season, being knocked out in the fourth round to Championship side Derby County. The game was a fairly even affair with a draw being seen as a fair result by most.
